Rodeo Clowns

Tonight was the first time I've ever been to a rodeo in my life. Bishop had a box suite at the Energy Solutions Arena for the Days of 47 rodeo and invited us along. I was greeted as I got off the train in front of the arena by animal rights protestors. Sweet. I wonder how many of them have actually sat down and watched a rodeo... Yeah I think some of those younger animals that they rope get a bit of whiplash, but man. I can't imagine how it feels the next morning after riding a bull.

All in all it was entertaining-- fun to get some culture in, not to mention cracking up at the announcers' grasp of the English language. Yeah. I'm definitely a city slicker.
