Let there be content!
I've been blogging for nearly 6 years now. I think I started my original, from-scratch (that means it didn't use a blogging system / engine, every entry was hand coded in HTML) blog in April of 2002, as a way to start posting pictures I had taken with my new digital camera.
Well here we are in 2008...
Well here we are in 2008...
Crap. I don't feel 6 years older. In fact, having just shaved off the beard, I'm thinking I look about how I did in 2002.
Anyways, let's just call this a pre-celebration of sorts. As you can see, I'm finally utilizing some of the newness of movable type 4.0 which I installed months ago. And I had to ditch my old blog template... it just didn't work with the new version of Movable Type. So hey-- since the new blog has archives linked on the right, why not import all my old blog entries? Yeeeaah! Oh what a trip down memory lane. Granted there's still about a year of entries missing from the days when I did everything by hand or on blogger (don't know where those blogger files are...), but 5 out of 6 years aint bad for the time being, no?
One of the things that's got me stoked to blog again is I bought another Canon SD10 used off ebay a little while back... what does that mean? Means it's tiny enough I'm carrying a camera around again. And it means I can take those cool macro shots conveniently... none of the portables I've had since the SD10 were nearly as useful for macro shots.
And... the real reason I finally moved stuff over to this blog tonight (which I actually set up back in November) is that I started another blog with Stevo and felt like it was time to have a place to link such blogs.
So while the look and feel of this site isn't personalized yet... the archives are here :D Those are fun (for me at least) in and of themselves.
Thank you for reading, if you still are. Woooo.
(the music is from The Syrian Bride... a cd I bought forever ago and never listened to. Finally gave it a listen today and it's pretty good. Most of it is more instrumental / less pop than this... but this song was just so catchy...)

First!
I know how badly you wanted someone to comment, so i thought i'd through and oldie but a goody your way. :P
Yeeah! My life is complete. I can now think about a new entry since someone commented on this one. Huzzah!
p.s. you're one of the few people who are actually registered and can comment with ease. Ya lucky bum!
This is so cool. I am going to go browsing through some of the early entries now. I think it will bring back some good times! I'm grooving to this song. Has it really been 6 years??? You inspire me.
i just realized what horrific spelling i used on my post!! it must have been very late at night for me to spell "throw" like "through". wowee!!
you need to a link to our music page somewhere! :)
