Rest in pieces, M3

| | Comments (5)

M3 is Dad's nickname for the 3rd Maxima that's been owned by someone in the Sloan household (M1 is still kickin, being a 1990 Maxima). Found out today that M3 has been totaled. God has ended her sojourn here on earth. She'll be missed.

So I put the photo and the song in just for fun, just to be dramatic. You'd think I'd dig up a picture of some of the better times we had together huh? Hehehe...

Truth be told, I'm surprisingly not as attached to M3 as I thought I'd be. It was my first car. When I got out of my car 2 weeks ago and looked at the damage, I thought "huh. What has happened has happened." All there was was truth. It's a car. It has no intrinsic value. No point in feeling bad or wondering "what if" things had played out differently.

Truth be told, I think it's awesome that my car got totaled. It's hard to explain why, but I can tell you that it actually is a blessing (I think the car was cursed anyways, hehe. This is the third strike, the third time it's been in some sort of collision. It was destined for the 3rd to be the kicker).

So here's to the good times, the road trips, the fun drives and great tunes. And here's to the future and its limitless possibilities. Onwards and upwards!

Well,I can't say I'm sad, since you and I had talked about what might happen if they did this. I hope that your new car is fun and that it won't be cursed. Get something fun cuz! Like a new mercedes or something ;)

Or you can just buy my car. I would feel better selling it someone I know. Because, after all, I'm a girl, and a bit more sentimental about my first car. (But obviously not so much that I wouldn't sell it, hehe.)
