This stuff is the glue of the earth, man...
I just had to take a moment to pause and express how grateful I am for music. Some of you know that I like to blow my money on gadgets and stuff that enhance my music listening experience. I have a new toy ;) and as I sit here at work listening to music with a smile on my face, I have to say, I can't imagine what life would be like without music. How would life be without a soundtrack to live it with? Music seriously is a language that transcends simple words in its ability to communicate and express, it can lift you up, inspire you, make you happy, sad, angry, sad, it can drive you to new limits, or relax, soothe, and put you to sleep... it can be powerful stuff. It makes things like work tolerable ;)
Just wanted to say I love music. That is all.

AMEN!!!!!
Mark! Mark man! You play a mean guitar! It's really a shame that you must die! I think I'd like a Sloan mix tape. I think I would like it more if it came with special brownies.
Music is amazing stuff. As a music teacher and former music major, I sometimes get caught up in the objective, analytical side of it all, but when I'm actually playing or listening to some good music, there's nothing like it. It's good to see a nice post about art. also, it would be better with special brownies.
(PS my new blog name shall from henceforth be JOsh so as to look kind of like Bubs' eye)
Joel-- you mean with extra sugar? :D I would make a monthly mix to trade (since you make a monthly mix) but I'm afraid mine would be less diverse, heh.
Ahhhh...what would work be like if we couldn't plug in the ol' headphones and drown out the rest of the world with some music? Or what would driving in the car be like if you couldn't crank it up? Or what would movies be like without it? (Very non-emotional and boring!) You're right. Music is amazing.
